The Muslimah Experience:

San Antonio Kickoff

Our first ever keynote event was a weekend retreat in San Antonio, TX spent in the company of our beloved Ustadha Aatiya Munshi and Alima Maha Firoze. In between sessions learning about the importance of seeking knowledge, we bonded with one another making dua boxes, painting tote bags, and having a field day!

“It was my first time experiencing what it was like to have so many Muslim sisters my age who came together for the sake of Allah through sisterhood! It was also the first time I met some of my college friends before I started my freshmen year!”

A Woman’s Dialogue

College Station, TX

Our second keynote event was a full-day conference in College Station, TX where we spent the day listening to a panel of accomplished speakers, bouncing ideas off of each other to improve our communities, enjoying an auction full of items from women-owned businesses and artists! Our panelists included Shaykha Marjaan Ali, Alima Maha Firoze, Ustadha Sophie Khan, and Sister Bushra Hamid.

“[It] was one of the highlights of my college experience [that led to] my integration into such an amazing Muslim women's community. It was such a surreal experience to learn from the Ustadhas... which made the whole experience feel really personal and comforting. This community made a huge impact on me and really gave me a sense of belonging!”

Her Blossoming Legacy

Sherman, TX

Our third keynote event was a weekend retreat spent in the company of the knowledgable Ustadha Hibbah Khan who taught us how to build a meaningful connection with Allah and His creation. We implemented her lessons through a da’wah workshop, post-Fajr reflection circles, and an afternoon in the pool!

“Texas Muslimahs was such an eye-opening experience for me. I got to bond with so many girls my age and felt genuinely welcomed from the start. What stood out to me most was how the team continued checking in and staying in contact with me even months after the weekend ended. I would recommend it to anyone looking to meet fellow Muslimahs and spend a weekend surrounded by positivity, sisterhood, and shared experiences as Muslims in this country.”
